KKR’s Forward Strategy

The creation of a “very depressing spreadsheet” detailing missed opportunities prompted KKR’s senior leadership to expand beyond private equity, according to Scott Nuttall, head of the firm’s Global Capital and Asset Management Group.

In a wide-ranging interview with Privcap, Nuttall sheds new light on KKR’s transformation from private equity-only powerhouse to multi-asset class, global financial services competitor. He also responds to concerns of misalignment between the firm’s private LPs and public shareholders, analyzes the supply/demand imbalance in the global energy and infrastructure markets, and describes the firm’s “measured” approach to Brazil.
