How does your transaction practice support private equity firms?

William Spizman, RSM:  Our transaction  professionals  help private  equity firms to buy  and sell middle- market companies. We also provide audit and tax expertise for their portfolio companies. Other specialists assist with IT and performance improvement. It’s a well-rounded team.  

I’m regularly approached  by firms  interested in our  expertise  with buy-side due diligence  of food-and‐beverage companies. Our broad capabilities help us identify and address many of the issues that come up during a transaction.

That range  of  expertise  is  also  an  advantage  post-acquisition. We  provide audit, tax and consulting services during the ownership period. When it comes time to exit, we’re partners in the process, whether it’s focusing on the quality of earnings, tax planning, or working capital considerations—anything that helps the client create maximum value.
