William Spiegel

Managing Director, Financial Services Investment Team, Pine Brook

Spiegel is responsible for Pine Brook’s financial services investing activities. He brings over 20 years of private equity experience to the firm, including more than 10 years of financial services investment experience. Spiegel currently serves on the board of directors of six Pine Brook portfolio companies. He is also a director of Lancashire Holdings Limited, a global provider of specialty insurance products. Spiegel was with the Cypress Group from its inception in 1994 until 2006, managing its financial services and healthcare investing activities for five years. Prior to joining Cypress, Spiegel worked in the Merchant Banking Group at Lehman Brothers. He has served on the boards of directors of 15 companies, including four publicly traded corporations.
