Ted Carroll

Ted Carroll, CPA, a media industry private equity principal since 1984, has originated successful investments in multiple industry sectors, including database companies, broadcasting, professional publishing and newspapers. He has significant operating experience including turning around troubled portfolio properties and, as such, has operated and repositioned a newspaper chain and a mass-market book publishing company. Between 1984 and 1997, Ted managed all investment and divestiture activity at Backe Group, an industry focused private equity investment company. In 1997, he co-founded BG Media Investors L.P., a $145 million institutionally based focused successor fund.
