Robert Hart

Mr. Robert E. Hart is Founder, CEO and President of TruAmerica Multifamily, a Los Angeles-based investment firmfocused on acquiring, renovating and managing multifamily housing in theWestern United States. TruAmerica was founded in June 2013 in partnership with The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America and has acquired 14 multifamily assets, totaling $934 million in value, over the past 12 months ranking the firm in the top 10 buyers of apartments nationwide. Mr. Hart brings his transaction experience and industry expertise from his 28-year career in the multifamily industry. Throughout his career, Mr. Hart has overseen the acquisition and disposition of more than $6 billion in assets within the United States and Japan.  Previously, Mr. Hart served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Kennedy Wilson Multifamily Management Group from January 2000 – June 2013 where he was responsible for overseeing a portfolio of apartment units in the Western United States. During his nearly 14-year tenure at Kennedy Wilson (NYSE: KW), he and his team acquired and sold more than 20,000 apartment units with a total transaction value of more than $4.5 billion. Mr. Hart also served as a member of the Senior Management Team and as a named executive officer of KW from 2010 - 2012. Mr. Hart holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles.
