Co-Founder & Chief Financial Officer, Discovery Senior Living

Mr. Hutchinson is the co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Discovery Management Group. As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Hutchinson’s responsibilities include: leading the strategic business planning, equity sourcing and utilization, entity creation and structuring, financing and establishment of all corporate policies and procedures for finance, accounting, treasury and investor relations. Prior to developing Discovery Management Group, Mr. Hutchinson held the position of Chief Financial Officer for over 10 years, from 1996 to 2006, with Aston Care Systems, Inc. As Aston’s first and only Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Hutchinson developed the initial strategic business plan, created the entities, secured $75 million in equity, financed the 2,000+ seniors housing units and was the primary negotiator in its ultimate sale for $450 million to Sunrise Senior Living, Inc. & GE Capital. During his career with Aston, he negotiated and closed over $500 million in financing, while establishing relationships with many of the industries’ key financiers, investors and operators.
