Matthew Malone

Matt Malone oversees custom communications and editorial operations for Privcap. He has more than 15 years experience in communications as a manager, marketer, editor and writer. In addition to Privcap, he has served as editorial advisor to the senior management of one of the world’s largest alternative investment firms. Prior to Privcap, he was a staff reporter at Conde Nast Portfolio, the now defunct business monthly, where he wrote features on everything from the financial crisis to white collar crime. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, Fortune, Forbes and other national publications. In 2007, Matt was named the Lorana Sullivan Memorial Scholar in Investigative Business Journalism at Columbia University. During the one-year fellowship, he studied at both the Columbia’s journalism and business schools. He holds two master’s degrees from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Connecticut College.
