Martha Peyton
Managing Director, Head of Real Estate Research and Strategy, TIAA-CREF
Martha Peyton is managing director and Head of Real Estate Research and Strategy for the TIAA-CREF organization. Ms. Peyton is responsible for providing investment research and portfolio strategy for the fixed-income and real estate portfolios and serves as the analytic interface between investment management, product management and client services.
Ms. Peyton has 34 years of financial industry experience, including positions with HSBC/ Marine Midland Bank's Credit Policy division and Domestic Economics group. She previously taught economics at Fordham University and Manhattanville College and is a Counselor of Real Estate (CRE).
Ms. Peyton holds a B.A., an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Economics from Fordham University. She is the chair of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) Research Committee, a former of the Real Estate Research Institute, and an emeritus member of the International Council of Shopping Centers Research Advisory Task Force.
