Marie Coady, PwC

Marie is an international tax structuring partner who leads PwC Ireland’s Asset Management tax practice of 60 tax professionals . Marie has been working with PwC for over 18 years. She specialises in both Irish and international tax structuring for both regulated and unregulated investment funds and regularly advises clients in relation to distribution considerations for investors. Marie assists managers for the investment lifecycle from acquisition to exit. Marie also has extensive corporate tax experience assisting asset managers set up operations in Ireland most notably over the past 3 years as a result of Brexit. Marie works with a broad range of clients across the asset management sector and has supported a broad range of clients set up traditional mutual funds, hedge funds, PE funds, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds. Marie is PwC’s Global Asset Management Technology Leader with experience of implementing technology solutions to support clients from a tax governance and controls perspective in addition to assisting clients with integrating the tax function into the broader business. Marie has participated on a number of committees supporting the Irish Funds industry policy setting and is the current Chair of one of the Irish Funds Association working groups.
