Jim Valente

Jim has 22 years of experience as a researcher and investment strategist in the institutional real estate investment management industry. Jim joined IPD from Bentall Kennedy where he was a Senior Vice President and Head of U.S. Research. Jim has broad experience in directing both top-down and bottom-up research activities. His work covers all property sectors and markets in the US, as well as Canada, Mexico, and several Western European markets. Prior to joining Bentall Kennedy, Jim was with ING Clarion where he was Senior Vice President and Head of U.S. Research & Strategy. He has also held senior research positions at SSR Realty and Cornerstone Real Estate Advisors. Jim has published numerous articles in academic and trade journals, and is a frequent speaker at real estate trade conferences.
