Gary Appel

Appel joined Investcorp in 2013 as Vice Chairman of Corporate Investment-North America. Gary retired in 2012 as Vice Chairman of Castle Harlan, Inc. Prior to that he was Vice Chairman of Glencoe Capital, Ltd. In the late 1990’s he served as a Senior Managing Director of Bear Stearns. For the 17 years prior to that he was with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Inc. Gary currently serves on the board of directors of Polyconcept Investment B.V., Archway Marketing Services and Fishnet Security, Inc. He also serves as an Executive in Residence of the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and as a member of the Advisory Board of its Private Equity Program.
