Eduardo Alcalay
Managing Director, Head of Private Equity Group, GP Investments
Alcalay joined GP in 2005 as a managing director, and is currently the Head of the firm’s Private Equity group since March 2012. Prior to joining the firm, he had more than 15 years of investment banking experience. Between 2008 and 2012, he acted as the CEO of Estácio, previously a GP portfolio company, having led a turnaround process and transforming it into the 2nd largest post-secondary education company in world, creating substantial value to shareholders. Alcalay is currently the chairman of the board of Estácio, and a member of the board of directors of Magnesita, Sascar and BHG.
