David Scaysbrook

David is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners Group ("Quinbrook") which is a specialist investment manager that originates, acquires, constructs, operates and manages, direct equity investments in low carbon and renewable energy supply infrastructure in North America, the United Kingdom and Australia. Headquartered in London with offices in Houston, Texas and Gold Coast, Australia, the Quinbrook team has invested across the full spectrum of conventional, low carbon and renewable energy generation assets on five continents since the early 1990's. From 2010 to 2015, David was Global Head of the Capital Dynamics (www.capdyn.com) Clean Energy Infrastructure team that raised four investment funds from leading institutional investors from 7 countries. Those four funds invested over USD 1bn of equity capital in more than 1500MW of clean energy projects in the US, UK and Australia. The multiple investment portfolios built over that period > than 100 assets spanning wind power, solar PV, landfill gas, waste methane and gas fired CCGT. Quinbrook currently manages the Cape Byron Infrastructure Fund (www.capebyronpower.com) which owns and operates a portfolio of biomass power stations near Byron Bay, Australia. David has 23 years of experience in energy-related infrastructure investment in Australia, the US, Asia and Europe. He regularly authors and publishes articles on the clean energy sector, and frequently provides expert commentary for clean energy investing publications and conferences around the world. David founded Novera Energy PLC in 1997 which grew to become one of the UK's leading non-utility renewable energy companies. Listed on the LSE in 2005, Novera was successfully sold to a leading European PE firm in 2009. As a former member of the UK Renewables Advisory Board, he has advised the UK Minister of Energy on a range of renewable energy issues. David holds a Bachelors Degrees in Laws and Economics from the University of Sydney.
