James Cherry
Senior Managing Director, One Equity Partners
J.B. Cherry joined OEP in 2003 and is a Senior Managing Director based in Chicago and a member of the Investment Committee. During his 12 years at OEP, Mr. Cherry worked on numerous investments in the industrial, chemical, packaging and energy industries. Mr. Cherry is a member of the Board of Directors of Grupo Phoenix, Resolute Industrial and Strike. Mr. Cherry’s prior investment experience includes LBC, Progress Rail, Columbian Chemicals, GlobalPack, Faurecia (EMCON), Precision Gear, Chemlogics, and Allied.
Prior to joining OEP, Mr. Cherry worked at Bank One Ventures evaluating strategic technology investments for Bank One Corporation. Mr. Cherry received his M.B.A. from Northwestern’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Business and his B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University.
