James Cross is a Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP where he is a member of the Firm’s Corporate Department. He has extensive experience representing leading financial institutions and private equity firms such as JPMorgan Chase Bank and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. in significant financing transactions. His recent transactions include Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and General Atlantic in their acquisition of TASC from Northrop Grumman, PPL Corporation in its acquisitions of E.ON U.S. and of E.ON’s U.K. utility business, KKR, Centerview and Vestar in their acquisition of Del Monte Foods, KKR in acquisitions of Academy Sports, Capsugel and Ipreo, KKR and Silver Lake in their acquisition of Go Daddy and First Data Corporation in its refinancings.
