John Shepherd

Mr. Shepherd is a co-founder of Strata and serves as a Managing Partner. Prior to founding Strata in 2015, Mr. Shepherd co-led American Capital Energy & Infrastructure’s (“ACEI”) North American group as a Managing Director. Prior to joining ACEI, Mr. Shepherd spent nine years at GE Energy Financial Services as Managing Director, where he led equity and preferred/mezzanine investing in energy infrastructure in North America. Prior to joining GE, Mr. Shepherd spent eleven years at Morgan Stanley where he led midstream coverage as a part of the Global Energy Group. While at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Shepherd also worked in the upstream and oilfield services sectors. Mr. Shepherd received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business.
