Michael Brand

Senior Director, Real Assets Investment Research, Cambridge Associates

Michael is an Investment Director at Cambridge Associates’ Boston office. He is a member of the global real assets research team, which covers private equity, hedge fund and long-only investments in agriculture and natural resources, commodities, energy, infrastructure, real estate, and timber. His responsibilities include conducting due diligence on fund offerings, monitoring firms investing for clients, and acting as a resource for the firm’s investment consultants. Prior to joining Cambridge Associates in 2015, Michael served for six years on the investment team at Franklin Park, a private markets investment advisor, where he led due diligence on fund and direct investment offerings, developed original industry research, and directly advised the firm’s institutional clients. He also served as lead on the firm’s real assets and private debt investment activities. Prior to that, Michael was a research analyst at Halcyon Asset Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund, focused on special situations investments across the capital structure. He started his career in 2003 with credit analysis roles at Moody’s and Reuters.
