Jim Rutherfurd, Pine Brook

Mr. Rutherfurd joined Pine Brook in February 2015 and is a partner responsible for overseeing investor relations. He is also a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Pine Brook, Mr. Rutherfurd was with 3i Group, an international investor focused on private equity, infrastructure and debt management, where he was a partner responsible for fund investor relations and fundraising in the Americas. Previously, Mr. Rutherfurd was executive vice president and managing director at the private equity firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson (“VSS”), where he was in charge of investor relations, fundraising and the firm’s co-investment program for six years. Prior to his tenure at VSS, Mr. Rutherfurd was a managing director at J.P. Morgan & Co. in the Technology, Media and Telecom Industry Investment Banking Group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Rutherfurd held positions as a director at The First Boston Corporation (now Credit Suisse) and as a corporate and securities lawyer at the New York law firm Rogers & Wells (now Clifford Chance). Mr. Rutherfurd holds an A.B. in Near Eastern Studies (summa cum laude) from Princeton University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
