Cia Buckley Marakovits

Prior to joining Dune in 2007, Buckley Marakovits was the president of the U.S. fund business for JER Partners, an affiliate of the J.E. Robert Companies.  She joined JER in 1997 and held a variety of positions during her 10 year tenure, including management responsibility for the acquisition and asset management of more than $6B of U.S. investments. Previously, she was in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group of Bankers Trust. Buckley Marakovits is a trustee and member of the investment committee of the Urban Land Institute, and a member of its Women's Leadership Initiative. She is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association, of Columbia Business School's M.B.A. Real Estate Program Advisory Board, of the Executive Committee of the Samuel Zell and Robert Lurie Real Estate Center at the Wharton School, and of Women Executives in Real Estate. She received an M.B.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. from Lafayette College.
