Wendy Rowden

Managing Director, Jonathan Rose Companies

Ms. Wendy Rowden was appointed Managing Director of Jonathan Rose Companies’ investment practice, Rose Investments, in 2009. She is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s investment management business, including acquisitions, financing, asset management, and investor relations. She is a member of the firm’s Investment and Management Committees, bringing more than 25 years of institutional real estate experience to her role. Rose Investments builds on Jonathan Rose Companies’ 20+ years of green real estate investment and development success.  Its market-based strategies seek to combine a disciplined investment approach with innovative green solutions to provide superior, risk-adjusted returns on behalf of institutional and high-net-worth investors.  Recent projects include the preservation and greening of the West 135th Street Apartments, a 198-unit Section 8 project in Harlem, and the value-add retrofit and rebranding of the Yeon Building, an iconic office building in Portland, Oregon. The multi-million dollar capital improvement program at West 135th Street was accomplished with tenants in-place and was the first recipient of Federal stimulus money to green affordable housing. Prior to joining Jonathan Rose Companies, Ms. Rowden served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of The Rockefeller Group, the U.S. Subsidiary of Mitsubishi Estate Co., one of the largest real estate concerns in the world.
