Jim Merkel establishes strategic direction of Rockbridge as well as oversees Rockbridge capital markets, investment origination and investment management affairs. In addition, he chairs the firm's Investment and Investment Management Committees.
An original partner and co-founder of Rockbridge, Jim Merkel facilitated Rockbridge growth to more than $1.3 billion in assets under management. Prior to becoming president and CEO in 2008, he led all of Rockbridge’s investment activity. He is a former executive with the Real Estate Investment Group of Banc One Capital Markets, Inc. (now JPMorgan Institutional Asset Management).
