The Big New LP

Privcap interviews Rakesh Saraf, head of private investments for the Alberta Teachers’ Retirement Fund. Saraf is building a new program that aims to deploy some $3 billion over a decade. He says he’s looking for just a few GP relationships on the private equity and infrastructure side, and that he expects visits more frequently than just “once in five years when they’re raising money.”  This program was created in cooperation with Canada”s Venture Capital & Private Equity Association.
