Alasdair Maclay

Living in Russia, Eastern Europe and Africa and traveling the world during the turbulent 1990s, Alasdair always knew he wanted to be part of the transformation sweeping these countries. He spent time as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company, before moving to work in the UK mid-market private equity industry for Sovereign Capital. He joined CDC in 2003 to focus on emerging markets investments. Alasdair currently works in the investor development group at Actis, previous to that he was a member of the infrastructure team, where he co-led the exits of our investments in Globeleq and the Caribbean Basin Power Fund and focused on power infrastructure investments in Africa.
