Dan O’Connell

Dan is the CEO and founder of Vestar. He also serves as Co-Head of the Consumer group. He was formerly Co-Head of the Management Buyout Group of The First Boston Corporation, where he worked with other members of Vestar’s founding team. He began his career at investment bank Dillon, Read & Company. Dan is Chairman of the Board of Cardinal Spellman HS and Treasurer of the Cardinal Spellman HS Foundation, Trustee Emeritus of Brown University and a member of the Brown Investment Committee, and a member of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Investment Advisory Committee.
